Granowski Rotary Barrel airless blast machines are ideal for cleaning smaller batch components which may be light and less suited to the larger Tumble Blast machine.
Rotary Barrel machines are loaded and unloaded manually where the components are placed in an angled perforated barrel which rotates them during the blast cycle and results in an even finish. As the barrel is a single drum with no ancillary materials handling system, it is ideal for batches of small components which otherwise may get caught in or foul another form of blasting platform.
The used abrasive is filtered through the perforations at the rear of the barrel, feeding into to a reclaim system. It then passes through a separation system which removes contaminants before feeding the clean abrasive back to the blast wheel.
W.Granowski manufactures two standard sizes of rotary barrel; the 45 litre (1.5 ft 3 ) and 90 litre (3 ft 3 ). The main wear of these machines is confined to the replaceable blast wheel and barrel, requiring little downtime for maintenance and maximising rate of component throughput.
