Garnet Abrasive
Garnet is a strong, hard and durable abrasive medium,
making it a low dust and cost effective alternative to some other
media. The particles are dense with sharp cutting edges, both of which
assist in producing a very clean finish. Garnet can be used in place of
silica sand, mineral slag and steel grit. W.Granowski can guarantee
product supply of minimum 99% garnet with no silica or heavy metal
content and, through a rigorous washing process, a level of chloride
lower than the International Standard. Granowski garnet comes in three
mesh sizes 20/40, 30/60, and 50/80, and depending upon the application,
can achieve 4 – 7 passes.
